  There are so many things that go into building a highly effective web site that really makes a difference to a company's bottom line that this is difficult to answer. After all if the site is built to a high enough standard it can literally propel a company to a level that would take years otherwise. All of web sites have mandatory Discovery, Branding Blueprints, Visual direction, web design and coding. Depending on the site size a budget should be between 5-20k…which we know is a big range, but there are so many factors that affect the bottom line. • How often should my site be updated?

  At least once a week. Google loves fresh information and more importantly so do your prospects. A web site is like bread…it can go stale after a while. RSS feeds can automatically update your site for you.

   

• How much do I pay to get started?

  50%, then 25% after you have approved the design and the remaining 25% at fulfillment.

   

• How is web content best developed?

  By providing us with a technical draft and summary for each appropriate category. We will then optimize each category for maximum "browsability" by editing and re-writing each section for marketing appeal, persuasiveness, calls to actions, appealing headers, web optimization and sales procurement.

   

• Do you optimize for search engines? Why is this important?

  Yes we do! This is probably the most important advertising and marketing mechanism in the world right now. If your company can come up on the first 20 results for keywords that are being typed in daily, it will simply trump traditional advertising methods (And we do all types of advertising here!). Over 80% of all consumers search the web for products and services. Even TV can't touch this… even during the SuperBowl or World Series.

   

• Do you guarantee a top spot?

  NO - We offer organic optimization and we implement all the fundamentals for the web site to be found, but unless you purchase our PPC product we offer optimization and YES we do guaranteed web site submission, but not placement but other avenues of marketing have to be implemented as well for online marketing to be successful.

    

• I saw a custom web site design offered for $2,500 on the Internet!

  You should hire them! :D Seriously, nothing worthwhile can be built for that price or even triple that price. But we respect your right to verify this option! We can design web sites for almost every price point but each price point has there limitations and might not reach your expectations. There are many ways to assess the value of your web site budget. Meaning you may Spend $1500 - $3000 on a web site but the fine tuning and marketing messages that we put into a web site can surpass the value in dollars spent. Meaning you get more than you paid for with AKD Design Group. We are the BANG for the BUCK!

   

• Do you build ecommerce sites?

  Yes! We use UNIX and Linux based e-commerce applications which save thousands of dollars in fees and are constantly improved via "open source." These carts can be designed to look and interact in almost any fashion you desire!
